Our latest video comes from the California Wolf Center’s Animal Curator, Chelsea Davis. Ms. Davis tells a touching story of how one little girl overcame her fear to learn to better understand and love wolves.
This weekend we will be traveling to Frazier Park, CA to film with our friends at the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center, best known for their heroic rescue of wolf dogs from a roadside attraction in Alaska. Not only do they strive to help rehabilitate wolves and wolf dogs, they also allow U.S. Veterans to work at the center, helping them acclimate to life outside the military. Many of these Veterans are suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and it’s the goal of Lockwood Animal Rescue Center’s owners, Dr. Lorin Lindner and Matthew Simmons to give these men and women the resources and space to settle back into civilian life.
We will also be interviewing Pamela Flick, CA Representative with Defenders of Wildlife. She will discuss the need for preparing the CA landscape for the return of wolves. She’ll also discuss her involvement in the creation of a California Wolf Plan.
